RIC: Are we having spaghetti tonight?

ME: Yes. I made lots of extra sauce last week which I saved and canned.

RIC: Canned sauce!?! No! I hate canned sauce.

ME: It’s my sauce Ric. I just canned the extra so that we would have it and would be easy to use at will.

RIC: But it will taste . . . can-y.

ME: It will be fine, Ric. I promise.

RIC: I want you to make it from scratch. Not from a can.

ME: I made it from scratch . . . last week. This is the same stuff.

RIC: It’s not the same. It will never be same.

ME: Open the wine.
