Let's Play

DOG: Hey. Hey. Hey.

ME: I’m busy. What do you need?

DOG: Let’s go outside and play.

ME: Go by yourself. I’m busy.

DOG: Hey. Hey. Hey.

ME: I’m busy. What do you need?

DOG: Let’s go outside and play.

ME: I told you, I’m busy. Later.

DOG: Hey. Hey. Hey.

ME: What? I am busy.

DOG: Let’s go outside and play.

ME: I can’t right now. Maybe later.

DOG: Hey. Hey. Hey.

ME: What do you want?

DOG: Let’s go outside and play.

ME: Fine; ten minutes.

DOG: Yea!

[Goes outside. Dog follows. I pick up ball throw it across the yard. Dog looks at it, then lays down and starts sunning himself.]

ME: I thought you wanted to play.

DOG: No. I just wanted to come outside.

ME: I didn’t come out here for you to ignore me.

DOG: Now you know how it feels, don’t you?

ME: Open the wine.
