Long Weekend

And this is why I drink . . .

RIC: The weekend had just been dragging by!

ME: Dragging? It seems like Friday was just yesterday. It’s gone by too damned fast!

RIC: It always goes slow when you are looking forward to something.

ME: Do you mean the delivery of those new items tomorrow?

RIC: No.

ME: Do you mean the new case of wine to be delivered Tuesday?

RIC: No.

ME: Well, what is it that you anticipate so much that weekend dragged on and on?

RIC: You know.

ME: You have to say it.

RIC: Why? You know what it is.

ME: I ain’t gonna do it if you don’t say it.

RIC: Spaghetti!

ME: Open the wine.
