It is winter. It is that time of year when Mother Nature in her infinite wisdom has decreed that many of our leafy friends take to hibernation awaiting the warm caresses of the springtime sun to wake them from slumber.

It is incumbent upon each and every one of us to recognize that while our leafy friends lie in repose, it is not their final sleep. This period of dormancy is not their end. It is their time of rejuvenation that precedes their rebirth.

While our vegetation may be quiet, they are not immune to the horrors that man may bring. So we must keep up the fight to raise awareness to the cruel and heartless machinations to which they so often are subjected.

Keep them in your thoughts and prayers throughout this season and rejoice in the knowledge that their future will come.
