It’s a Dog’s Life . . .
DOG: Pick me up.
ME: We are at a party. Go play with the other dogs.
DOG: Pick me up.
ME: You don’t want to play?
DOG: Pick me up.
ME: What’s up with you?
DOG: Pick me up.
ME: What gives?
DOG: I played last night with Foxy and tonight with Bowie, Ozzie, Gus, Pepper, and all the others.
ME: But you like playing.
DOG: I do, but I am tired. (Yawn.)
ME: We’ll go in a little bit.
DOG: Pick me up.
ME: [Reaches down and picks up dog.]
