It’s a Dog’s Life . . .
DOG: What is this?
ME: Chicken.
DOG: I had chicken last night.
ME: So.
DOG: I don’t want chicken. I want beef tonight. Perhaps a nice Wellington, red potatoes sprinkled with rosemary, served with mixed root vegetables, and a side of slowly simmered au jus. It should be paired witha fine Bordeaux don’t you think?
ME: You got chicken.
DOG: (Sniffs) Troglodyte.
ME: Open the wine.
DOG: It better be Bordeaux.
